Oh boy...where to start with this one.

Listen, man. Sometimes you just want the superhero equivalent of a menhera VTuber...

Not that I like superheros or anything.

Homelander is definitely a character for slasherfxckers or any adjacent person. He's not for the faint of heart...honestly, he's a warning in himself, that what you're about to read is probably not going to be your run of the mill fluff or soft, sensual, loving smut. If you've ever seen literally any clip of him, or watched the show at all, you'll know that this man is:

• funy ngl
• Played by Antony Starr (amen)
• MENTALLY ILL

This was my coming out party for being more mentally ill than I let on...

This being said, I think that Homelander (in fanfiction) usually brings on the same "attractive" traits that a yandere might have; he's extremely possessive, obsessive, and most of all, incredibly loyal to you to the point where he won't hesitate to instantly fucking laser somebody who touches you. A lot of these yandere traits are also present in most slasher fanfiction, hence why I group him as slasher adjacent.

Interestingly, Homelander also brings elements of the Kamidere into the mix. He knows he's pretty much akin to a God, and behaves with the ego of a self important and very pampered cat who believes that he can trick you into feeding him again. Personally, I think this is sort of cute even if he is a cold blooded murderer who doesn't understand that his actions have consequences, especially when coupled with Antony Star having lil cat ass fangs...hehe. ♡

As we go deeper into his fanfictions and his character, we also learn that he's actually a little bit of a sub. We all know about the milk thing.....

He's very, very codependent on you, and this is where some of his more cute moments show. Usually in the insane amounts of smut. He consistently is written to have a praise kink throughout most fanfics, and will melt in the palm of your hands like chocolate if you run your hand through his hair! And of course, I know some of you yumes love a good brat taming session; if you're into that, there's definitely plenty of fics where he's much more subby than usual.

Of course, I must talk about some of his more intense fics. While I can stomach them fine, there are definitely some scenarios that may be uncomfortable for some readers. Please remember to read tags! But as a yandere lover and someone who should definitely get an icepick lobotomy for my time here today, I enjoy most of his scenarios. My favorites are when he takes an interest in you and behaves like a little creep, stalking you and all that. ♡ I think another upside about such characters like Homie or Slashers is that they really make you feel special. I've always wanted to be seen as that special to someone.

Of course, it must be said that I don't know if I'd enjoy being stalked in real life by a killer superhero who would probably mow down my family if I said I wasn't allowed out after dark...Or one that would snap my femur so I wouldn't go anywhere...ouchie :(
